Delta Color Comparator
• Consists of comparator with 18 precision glass standards and an
illuminator
• Comparator is composed of two disks containing 9 optically polished
glass filters (color standards):
one wheel for odd and one for even numbers
• The comparator without illumination is to be used with sunlight
from window or indoor light
How to determine color numbers?
How to replace the lamp?
• The liquid to be tested must be transparent, non-cloudy
• Pour test liquid into empty color comparison tube and properly
seal the tube
• Insert tube in the channel between the two disks
• Rotate color wheels until filter glass closest in color to the
liquid is in place
• Express conclusion mathematically:
identical to 14 14
slightly darker than 14, much lighter than 15 14+
slightly lighter than 14

• Remove the power cord
• Let the lamp cool down to avoid injuries
• Open top cover by removing the screws
• Unscrew light bulb and replace it with new one
