Connecting the tubing

Tubes with two different diameters are contained in the standard delivery of the instrument. The wider
one is 1/8” in outer diameter and 1/16” in inner diameter, the tighter one is 1/16” in outer diameter and
1/32” in inner diameter. Choose the tube with the corresponding inner diameter that fits the needs of
your application best and cut it into the required number of pieces each of the appropriate length.
The connection to the measurement cell is established using the diameter-specific bolted fittings.
Use the green fittings with the green ferrules (044261) for the 1/8” tubing and the grey fittings with the
grey ferrules (044262) for the 1/16” tubing.

NOTE
The tubing with 1/32
inner diameter together with the corresponding grey fittings can be used for
flow rates up to 30 mL/min. For flow rates higher than 30 mL/min the tubing with 1/16
inner dia-
meter together with the green fittings shall be used.

For 1/8” tubing

- Slide one of the

green fittings over a piece of the 1/8” tube

followed by the corresponding

green ferrule (the tip of the

ferrule has to point to the thread of the fitting). The tip of the
tube should not overlap the ferrule too much.

For 1/16” tubing

- Slide one of the

grey fittings over a piece of the 1/16” tube

followed by the corresponding

grey ferrule (the tip of the

ferrule has to point to the thread of the fitting). The tip of the
tube should not overlap the ferrule too much.
