Calibration procedure
To start calibration, turn the rotary knob to Calibration. Press
START and follow the instruction on
display.
The instrument automatically
heats to the start temperature
of the first substance. In the
meantime, prepare at least
6 samples of the given sub-
stance. For this process, follow
section 6.2.1.
• Choose the correct phar-
macopoeia melting point
value with the rotary knob.
The pharmacopoeia melting
point is written on the
certificate of analysis. Press
Save.
Follow the instructions on the
display. After each run, the
current result is indicated.
• Press
START to perform
the next measurement.
After 6 results are obtained
within a standard deviation of
+/- 0.2 °C, the process moves
on to the next substance. The
process is identical for the
other substances.
As soon as a complete
calibration is obtained, the
new calibration date is saved
automatically.
• Press
OK. All results
obtained are displayed.
• The rotary knob can be
used to display all the
results of the calibration.
• The
Print key is used to
print out the data.
•
Back exits this menu.
The calibration date is now
saved and indicated on the
idle screen.
