Cleaning the Unit
3 Remove the paper feed roller mod­
ule and retard roller module. (See
section "Replacing the Roller Mod­
ules" on page 37.)
4 Use the accessory roller cleaning
paper to wipe off the dirt on the
surfaces of the paper feed roller
and separator roller.
• When wiping off the dirt on the roller
surfaces, hold the rollers to prevent
them from rotating, and wipe the roll­
ers all the way around them proceed­
ing from one end to the other in the
directions of the arrows shown in the
diagram to the right.

Wipe off in the arrow direction.
5 Following the same procedure as
in step 4, use the accessory roller
cleaning paper to wipe the sur­
faces of the retard rollers all the
way around them proceeding from
one end to the other in the direc­
tions of the arrows shown in the
diagram to the right.

Wipe off in the arrow direction.
