Precautions
The unit should not be mounted where it will
receive direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Even though the KX-G2200 was designed for
the marine environment, for long, reliable
operation, mount the unit where it will not be
splashed with water. Also, protect the unit from
exposure to salty sea water.
This unit will develop heat in operation. This
is a normal condition. Select a mounting
location where the unit will be well ventilated.
Only use an antenna designed for VHP Marine
radio service. Install it according to the
manufacture’s instructions and make sure that
the connections are secure.
Your Marine VHP radio is designed to operate
from a 13.8 volts DC source, ±20%
(12V Battery). Power supplies beyond these
limits will cause improper operation and
damage to the unit.
Check the battery voltage often.
Do not use benzine, thinner, or the like, or any
abrasive powder to clean the cabinet. Wipe it
with a soft cloth.
