RECORD/TIME
VCR Lock Feature
When activated, this feature prohibits all
operations except for timer recording and
tape eject. This feature may be used to
keep young children from operating the
Combination VCR.
Hold down REC/TIME on the
Combination VCR without a
cassette inserted
for 7 seconds
during Power On mode.
■ "NO CASSETTE PLEASE INSERT A
CASSETTE' is displayed when
REC/TIME is pressed. Please disregard
this warning and continue to hold down
REC/TIME for 7 seconds.
To Cancel the VCR Lock feature,
with or without a cassette inserted,
hold down REC/TIME on the
Combination VCR for 7 seconds
again during
Power On mode.
• VCR Lock mode is cancelled
automatically after about 24 hours as
long as the clock is set.
Time Stamp Feature
For about the first 10 seconds of each recording, the Combination VCR automatically
writes the following program data on the tape; Date, Start time, Scheduled stop time
(for Timer Rec. only), Channel No., and Category (for Timer Rec. only). Then, if
playback Is started at the starting point of the recording, this information will be
displayed about 7 seconds after playback begins for a few seconds.

• When “OFF” is selected, the program data is

for the first 5 seconds of playback.

If the tape speed is changed immediately after recording begins, the
display may be incorrect.
Blue Back ON/OFF Feature
You may choose whether or not you want the Combination VCR to display
a solid blue back screen when the broadcast signal is very weak or the
playback signal is not present.

• When “ON" is selected, a solid blue screen
appears whenever the signal is weak or
nonexistent. When “OFF is selected, the
picture is displayed regardless of the signal condition.
• The picture cannot always be seen clearly when OFF is selected.
Press ACTION twice to return to the normal screen.
Warning Beeper Feature
When you select BEEPER ON, a short warning will sound each time an
invalid entry or incomplete operation is made.
