Initial settings

To adjust the channel balarK« using the test signal
1. Select Tesf with the Joystick (A, T, ►), and then
press SELECT.
(Test signals wilt be output clockwise from each speak­
er except the subwoofer consecutively.)
2. While listening to the lest signalr tilt the joystick
(A, ▼) to adjust the volume of each speaker until (he
test signal Is heard at a similar level from ^1 speakers.
3. Press SELECT. (The test signals are stopped.)

Note
•Test signal le not output from the subwoofer. Subwoofer
volume should be adjusted to suit Ihe material being
l^ayed.

MPEG 2 mulb-chanoel audio is output from the 5.1 channel
output connectors

with Dolby Digital and dts. If you are using 2 channel audio
output connectors (Q), the digital audio output conrtectcrs
(when PCM* Is selected in '4 MPEQ" in the digital audio
output settings on page 35) (0)i oi the phones jack, however,
then only the signals for the front speaker channels are output.
If you intend to use cne of these types of terminals, go to
“8 Speaker Setting" and set the centre, surround, and sub­
woofer channels to “No".
