10.6 Checking S.M.A.R.T. Information
Purpose:
The S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a monitoring system for HDD to detect
and report on various indicators of reliability in the hopes of anticipating failures.

Enter the S.M.A.R.T. Settings interface.
Menu > HDD >HDD Detect >S.M.A.R.T. Settings
Select the HDD to view its S.M.A.R.T. information list.
Note:
If you want to use the HDD even when the S.M.A.R.T. checking is failed, you can check the
checkbox before the Continue to use this disk when self-evaluation is failed item.
Three self-tests of S.M.A.R.T are provided, including Short Test, Expanded Test and Conveyance Test.
You can select a self-test type and click
to start self-test.
