To run I/O port loopback in software, follow these steps:
1. From the Main Menu, type 2 , "Multiplexer Configuration/Status," and press .
2. At the Multiplexer Configuration/Status screen, type 2 , "I/O port Module & Logical Address,"
and press , then at the prompt, type the unit and slot number.
3. At the Unit and Slot Configuration screen, type 3, "Set/Clear Port Loopback," and then at the
prompt, enter the unit and port number.
4. To start (activate) Local or Remote Loopback for the selected port, type 2 or 3 and press ;
loopback starts.
5. To stop Loopback, type 1 and press .
6. To return to the Main Menu, press .
To run composite loopback manually, follow these steps:
1. At the rear panel, set the System Mode switch to LOC for local loopback or to REM for remote
loopback; loopback starts automatically.
2. To stop Loopback, set the System Mode switch to NORM.
To run composite loopback in software, follow these steps:
1. From the Main Menu, type 2 , "Multiplexer Configuration/Status," and press .
2. At the Multiplexer Configuration/Status screen, type 1 , "System Configuration/Status," and press
.
3. At the System Configuration/Status screen, type 1, "Set/Clear Composite Loopback," press
; loopback starts.
4. To stop Loopback, type 1 and press .
5. To return to the Main Menu, press .
