SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The Stahl Endoscopy Solarc™ Light Source is used to supply high quality, white
light for video and optical illumination systems. Always inspect power cord for
damage before use. Verify that four feet are present to assure proper ventilation.
Inspect all switches, knobs, and enclosure surfaces for damage before use. See
maintenance and repair section if problems exist.
1. Plug the power supply into a grounded receptacle.
2. Turn the light intensity control to the minimum position. Plug in the fiber optic
bundle into the light port and connect the opposite end to the equipment that
is used.
3. Turn the power switch to the ON position. The lamp will take 15+ seconds to
complete the warm-up cycle.
4. Set light intensity to desired level.
5. Turn unit off when not in use.
NOTE:Do not restart lamp immediately after shutting it off. The lamp may fail to
start. If this occurs, turn the power off and wait 15+ seconds before restarting
lamp.
