Bluetooth Setup Instructions
This document is used with Rice Lake’s 150-10 Series medical scales that have Bluetooth capability. Bluetooth
technology is the ideal wireless technology for connecting health and fitness devices because it’s simple, secure
and everywhere. Bluetooth allows the transfer of data from the scale wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled devices
such as cell phones, tablets, PDA or PCs.
Important
Due to the vast number of Bluetooth devices on the market and the large number of software
packages available, there are many ways to pair and connect to the scale.
The steps used to pair the scale will vary, depending on your device/software you are using. The scale is set up to
be discoverable at all times and general guidelines are outlined below.
1. Make sure the indicator (scale) is turned on.
2. Make sure that your Bluetooth device is
turned on. The flag icon should also be
displayed on the indicator.
3. On your PC desktop, click the
Start
button to
open the menu.
4. In the menu’s search window, enter the word
Add
.
5. Select
Add a Bluetooth Device
.
6. In the open window, select your Bluetooth
device and click
Next
.
7. Click on the pairing code table.
