Notes on bulb replacement

R

Only use 12-volt bulbs of the same type and
with the specified watt rating.

R

Switch the lights off before changing a bulb
to prevent short circuits.

R

Always use a clean lint-free cloth when
handling bulbs.

R

Your hands should be dry and free of oil and
grease.

R

If the newly installed bulb does not come
on, contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz
Center.

Mercedes-Benz recommends using

Longlife (LL) bulbs.

Have the LEDs and bulbs for the following
lamps replaced at an authorized Mercedes-
Benz Center:

Additional turn signal lamps in the exterior
rear view mirrors

R

Bi-Xenon lamps

R

Front fog lamps

R

Front side marker lamps

R

High-beam bulbs in the halogen-type and
Bi-Xenon front lamps

R

License plate lamps

R

Front parking and standing lamps

R

High-mounted brake lamp

Do not replace the LEDs yourself. You

could otherwise damage the LEDs or parts

Vehicles with Bi-Xenon headlamps: Low beam and high beam use the same D1S-35 W lamp. Do not replace the Bi-Xenon bulbs yourself. Contact an authorized

Mercedes-Benz Center.

Practical hints
