Engineered Hardwood/Bamboo HDF Stair Nose
Stair molding allows one to create stairs out of the hardwood/bamboo
of your choice. The stair nose trim piece covers the front edge of the
step. Stair nose can be installed on either the groove side or the
tongue side of the flooring plank. (over the groove or over the tongue
combination).
The diagrams below depict step by step instruction for installing the
stair nose over the groove, but the steps are applicable to either
combination.
Step 1
Place a stair nose molding piece on the edge of the stair.
Place the flooring plank to be used as the new stair tread against the
stair nose.
Mark the position of the floor as indicated in diagram.
Remove the pieces.
Step 2
Apply several beads of flooring adhesive or construction adhesive to
the surface of the stair tread.
