Title: Installation Hardwood/Bamboo Carpet Reducer
Rev.:0
Hardwood/Bamboo Carpet Reducer
Carpet Reducer, which is also called Baby Threshold, is used to transition floor coverings of differing heights
and construction. For example, hardwood floor to carpet. It can also be used to border a fireplace.
Step 1.
Position the carpet reducer between the hardwood floor and the
other surface. You may have to trim the other surface so the carpet
reducer will fit snugly between the two surfaces.
Mark a line where the excess resilient floor will be trimmed.
Step 2.
Remove the trimmed piece.
Step 3.
Apply beads of glue along the area between floor and carpet.
Step 4.
Place the carpet reducer onto the glue and press firmly. Press from
left side to the right until the all of the trim piece adheres to the
subfloor and floor evenly
Step 5.
Allow the glue to cure. Follow the glue manufacturer’s
recommendation.
