5. Use a plastic or wooden spatula to slide any residues off the grill plates. Remove stubborn
residue with a nylon washing brush.
Note: Dispose fat and meat juices as compost or in a closed vessel in the waste.
6. Wipe the grill plates with a soft cloth or sponge damped with warm dish-water to remove
food residue. Soak stubborn residues with a little oil for some minutes. If necessary, use a nylon
washing brush for cleaning the grill plates.
7. Wipe the interior of the raclette levels, the power cord, and the exterior of the appliance
housing carefully with a soft damp cloth. Always ensure not to spill any water in the appliance.
8. Discolouration on stainless steel surfaces can be removed using a stainless steel cleaning agent.
9. Thoroughly dry the appliance and all parts and accessories of it. Thereafter, allow drying
naturally for 1/2 hour. Take care that the appliance and all its parts and accessories are out
of reach of young children.
Storage
WARNING: Always switch OFF the appliance and unplug from power outlet when not in use
and before moving. Before moving or lifting the appliance, always allow the appliance to cool
down sufficiently, and clean the appliance before storing. (See: “Care and Cleaning“) Always
place the appliance on a stable, clean, and dry surface, where it is safe from frost and inadmis-
sible strain (mechanical or electric shock, heat, moisture), where it is out of reach of young
children and where it can not fall. Do not place any hard or heavy objects on the appliance.
Always handle the power cord with care. The power cord may never be knotted, twisted or
squeezed. Do not pull or strain the power cord. Do not place any hard and/or heavy objects
on the appliance or the power cord.
1. Clean the appliance according to the instructions in section “Care and Cleaning“.
2. Insert the grill plates, and place the fondue pot in the opening in the middle of the appliance.
Insert the in the fondue pot and place the lid on it.
3. Lay the cord carefully around the basis of the appliance, but take care not to pull or strain
the power cord. Grasp the power cord and grasp the appliance by the basis of the appliance
with both hands, when moving it.
4. Store the entire appliance on a suitable, stable, level, clean surface where it is out of reach
of young children.
