l+ll Flash OFF with Manual Exposure
Compensation
This camera is provided with an automatic exposure
compensation function for backiit shots, but you can
aiso use exposure compensation at any time.
Set
®+1.5
or
®—1.5
when the camera is in
Flash mode.

to display ®+1.5 or ®—1.5 on
the LCD panel.
^ Either ®+1.5 or ®—1.5 blinks
on the LCD panel
• Press the MODE button to return
the camera to the normal state

You can use this setting to prevent your subject being too
dark (underexposed) when the surroundings are
extremely bright, such as at a ski-resort or in backlit
conditions. You can also use this setting to brighten the
entire picture.
• ®—1.5
Exposure Compensation
You can use this setting to prevent your subject being too
bright (overexposed) when the surroundings are
extremely dark, such as on a spotlit stage. You can also
use
this setting to darken the entire picture.

• Automatic exposure compensation is not performed in
®+1.5, ®-1.5.
■ The flash does not fire in ®+1.5, ®—1.5.
• The effects of exposure compensation may be difficult
to see on prints from negative color film.
