GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance m ust be gfetinded. if it should m alfunc-
tioh of breakdown; grounding provides a path of least
resistance for electric cùfféht to rèduce the risk of
etectric shock. This appliahce is equipped with a cord
having an equipm ent-grounding conductor and ground­
ing piug. The plug m ust be plugged into an appropriate
outlet that is properly iristailed and grounded In accor­
dance w ith all local codes and ordinances.

THIS POWER TOOL IS OF THE TWO PRONG TYPE,

This appliance is for use on a nom inal 120-volt circuit,
and has a grounded plug that looks like the plug iltustrat-
ted below . Atem porary adapter m ay be used to connect
this plug to a 2-pole receptacle, as show n below , if a
properly grounded outlet is not available. The tem porary
adapter should be used only until a properly grounded
outlet can be installed by a qualified electrican. The
green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like, extending from
the adapter m ust be connected to a perm anent ground
such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. W hen­
ever the adapter is used, it m ust be held in place by a
m etal screw .

The use of any extension cord w ill cause som e loss of
pow er. U se the fotidwing table to determ ine the m ini­
m um w ire size (A.W .G .) extension cord. U se only 3-w ire
extension cords w hich have 3-prong grounding type
plugs and 3-pole receptacles which accept the tool's
plug-
For circuits that are farther aw ay from electrical circuit
box, the wire size must be increased proportionately
in order to deliver ample voltage to the sawdust collec-
tion system motor.
