This unit plays back tapes recorded in HiB* video system.
Howrever, please note the following important conditions.
HiB recording will be played back with standard 8 mm picture quality.
This unit cannot record with HiB picture quality.
Noise may appear in the picture when you play back a tape recorded in HiB LP (long play) mode.
*Hi 8 is the 8 mm recording option found on selected high end 8 mm camcorders and decks.

The horizontal bands appear in the still, slow, picture search and FR picture search modes.
Noise appears in the still and slow modes. To reduce the horizontal bands, press LCD ON/OFF
button to mule the picture of this unit.
Notes on the CRYSTAL-CLEAR still/alow/picture aearch on LCD
Noiseless pictures can be viewed in the still, slow and picture search modes, owing to the
characteristics of the liquid crystal.
