We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualified
motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install this
performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer. Read all
instructions first before starting installation. Make sure the motorcycle and
exhaust system are completely cool before starting the installation. Also,
make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand or ideally a service lift during
installation. Be sure to save all stock components for possible use later.
Installation Instructions
1. Make sure the bike is completely cool before starting
the re-pack. Make sure the bike is secure on a stand. This
proceedure may be performed on or off the bike.
2. Remove endcap bolts, endcap, washer, p-tip and spark
arrestor (if applicable).
3. Loosen M2R retaining nut with the core nut tool that came
with your original exhaust system, uses a 27mm socket.
4. Remove outlet, may require use of a rubber mallot if
tight, hitting the edge of the outlet in the direction of
exhaust flow. You may also use the M2R outlet removal
tool (purchased seperately part # 005-99-T175).

5. Remove old packing material, may be easier with
pliers. Install new packing material, the cutout section
of the packing is the top, so that it slides under the
hanger bracket.
6. Install O-ring on outlet, make sure that it goes in the
upper groove, closest to endcap.
7. Use anti-seize tape on core threads, wrap the tape to the
left or clock-wise direction.
8. Install Outlet, you may use a soft mallot with the provided
rag so that you do not damage the outlet.
