Installation Instructions
1.
Make sure the ATV is completely cool before starting
the installation. Make sure the ATV is secure on a level
surface and the parking brake is set.
2.
Remove main seat assembly.
3.
Remove heat shield.
4.
Loosen muffler joint clamp.
5.
Remove muffler mounting bolts *The nuts on the back
are difficult to get a wrench on but it is easier than
removing the rear section.
6.
Remove OEM muffler assembly and joint clamp with
gasket.
7.
Install TBR supplied muffler hanger bracket in the
rearward position of OEM muffler mount and secure
with 8x50mm bolt.
8.
Attach TBR slip-tube to TBR muffler using the supplied
X-ring and 8x14mm bolts and lock washers. Leave loose
for now.
9.
Slide supplied barrel clamp over slip-tube at joint end.
10. Install TBR muffler assembly, attach with supplied 8x25mm
bolt and OEM nut.
11. Tighten the X-ring bolts.
12. Tighten Barrel clamp.
13. Re-install heat shield, and seat.
14. Double check your work and make sure all bolts are
tightened and the exhaust is aligned correctly.
15. Before you run the ATV, clean off all fingerprints and
dirt, as any oily residue will etch the metal and become
somewhat permanent when the system gets hot. Run the
ATV and enjoy. It is normal for some white smoke to
appear the first time you start the ATV. This is packing/
manufacturing oil from inside the pipe burning off.
Check for gaps or leaks. If you find a leak, a little high
temperature silicon sealant should fix it. After 50 to 100
miles, recheck all fasteners for tightness.
We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualified
motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install this
performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer. Read all
instructions first before starting installation. Make sure the motorcycle and
exhaust system are completely cool before starting the installation. Be sure
to save all stock components for possible use later.
**This product has not been tested with all available accessories and some
items may cause excessive heat. Excessive heat may cause damage to your
vehicle. Two Brothers Racing will not be responsible for damaged parts.
