Installation
1. Install 6" (150mm) above highest
point of downstream piping or hose.
2. No downstream shutoff valves are
allowed.
3. Device can spill water; install where
spillage is not objectionable.
4. Use only with non-continuous
pressure (pressurized a maximum of
12 out of 24 hours).

Maintenance
1. Remove hood scr ews and lift of f hood.
2. T urn off supply pr essure and observe float dr op to open air inlet.
3 If this does not occur or valve has been constantly discharging remove bonnet.
4. Replace bonnet (seat) and float.
5. Reassemble (using lubricant sparingly on bonnet O-ring) and restor e pr essure.
6. Retest using steps 1 and 2.

Limited W arranty: Ames Fire & W aterworks (the “Compan y”) warrants each product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal usage
for a period of one year from the date of original shipment. In the event of such defects within the warranty period, the Company will, a t its option, replace
or recondition the product without charge.
THE W ARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN IS GIVEN EXPRESSL Y AND IS THE ONLY WARRANTY GIVEN BY THE COMP ANY WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT .
THE COMP ANY MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED . THE COMPANY HEREBY SPECIFIC ALLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT ABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A P ARTICULAR
PURPOSE.
The remed y described in the first para graph of this warranty shall constitute the sole and exclusive remedy for breach of warranty , and the Compan y shall not
be responsible for an y incidental, special or consequential damages, inc luding without limitation, lost profits or the cost of repairing or replacing other property
which is damaged if this product does not work properly, other costs resulting from labor charges, delays, vandalism, negligence, fouling caused by foreign
material, dama ge from adverse wa ter conditions, chemical, or any other circumstances over which the Compan y has no control. This warranty shall be
invalidated by an y abuse, misuse, misa pplication, improper installation or improper maintenance or alteration of the product.
Some Sta tes do not allo w limita tions on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some Sta tes do not allo w the exclusion or limita tion of incidental or
consequential dama ges. Therefore the above limitations may not apply to you. This Limited W arranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other
