PILOT ENGAGED - SELECTING VANE MODE
















Check that the AWA on your Network WIND. (AWA can also be
read from Network DATA or Network TACK).

If safe to do so change mode by pressing the MODE key to select
VANE.

The Network PILOT display will show the Target AWA in the LCD
text window, and the autopilot course on the large digits.

CHANGING COURSE


Changes to the autopilot course while in VANE mode uses the same
four keys as for other autopilot steering modes, however their purpose
is different.












The <10,10>,<1,1> keys alter the Target AWA in increments of 10

and 1

0

to port < or to starboard >. The autopilot then calculates the

course required to maintain the Target AWA.

NOTE
When the autopilot is in VANE mode the previous course is NOT
memorised as there is no a course memory. To return to your previous
course you must enter the reciprocal course change.
