Mount Support Wheels
Refer to Figure 8
25. Select one of new:
113-884H MARKER WHEEL SUPPORT WELD LH
or
113-889H MARKER WHEEL SUPPORT WELD RH
These weldments are shipped assembled with a
spindle weldment
hub assembly and wheel
assembly . When positioned on the mount
weldment of the second section, the wheel is
oriented to the outside (toward end of marker).
26. Select four sets new:
802-036C HHCS 1/2-20X1 1/2 GR5
804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
Heavy Object With Rotating Parts:
Use a hoist or lift. The support wheel assembly weighs over
100 pounds (45 kg), and the tire provides no hand hold. It is
unsuitable for single-person lift and risky for two-person lift.
27. Use the lift or hoist to position the support wheel on
the second wheel mount weldment . Align the
holes. Insert two bolts to hold it in alignment.
Insert bolts as shown (from top on top, and from
bottom on bottom). Secure with lock washers
and nuts
.
Connect Second Section
Refer to Figure 9 (shown with sections unfolded)
28. Select one of new:
113-881H MARKER 2ND SECTION 3S-5000 LH
or
113-887H MARKER 2ND SECTION 3S-5000 RH
and one set new:
411-267D PIN 1.50 X 21.5
802-849C HHCS 3/8-16X3 1/4 GR8
803-013C NUT LOCK 3/8-16 PLT
Note that one of the second section pivot tubes is
longer than the other, and has holes for a cross-bolt.
Align the pivot tubes of the first and second sections.
Insert the pin
, beveled end first, through the
cross-bolt tube of the second section. Secure pin to
tube with bolt
and lock nut .
29. Grease the pinned connection at the zerk.
Note: Do not connect the rod end of the cylinder to the
second section at this time.
30. Repeat step 21 through step 28 for the right wing of
the drill.
