Installation Instructions
3S-5000/F/HD/HDF Markers
Used with Drill models:
• 3S-5000 3-Section 50-Foot Drill
• 3S-5000F 3-Section 50-Foot Fertilizer Drill
• 3S-5000HD 3-Section 50-Foot Heavy Duty Drill
• 3S-5000HDF 3-Section 50-Foot HD Fertilizer Drill
General Information
Refer to Figure 1
These instructions explain how to install field markers.
One kit outfits one drill.
Tools Required:
• lift or hoist with a capacity of 700 pounds (320 kg);
• work stands or saw horses with 700 pounds (320 kg)
capacities (each);
• fishline;
• bucket for draining existing hydraulic hoses;
• 5 gallons (18 liters) hydraulic fluid;
• tractor or hydraulic source;
• general purpose grease;
• current Operator and Parts manuals; and,
• basic hand tools.
Notations and Conventions
Definitions
The following terms are used throughout this manual.
Note: Paragraphs in this format provide useful
information related to the current topic.
Right-hand and left-hand as used in
this manual are determined by facing
the direction the machine will travel
while in use unless otherwise stated.
An orientation rose (right) depicts Up,
Right, Back, Down, Left and Front.
Some roses (as in Figure 1) have
legends “I” (to Inboard/Inside) and “O”
(to Outboard/Outside) instead of L and R.
