Push forward on meter slide retaining clip .
5. Remove seed meter wheel.

Check meter interior for trash and damage.
Note: Some wear on the top edge of the slider is nor-
mal. Excess wear is cause for slide replacement.
See “Meter Slide Maintenance” on page 64.
7. Place new wheel on meter wheel shaft. Tilt it slightly
forward to engage and push back on the slide. Seat
wheel fully on cross-pin. Push the slide retainer
forward, and seat the wheel in the meter housing.
8. Replace the spring-loaded wheel retainer. Make 1 ⁄
4
turn to seat cross-pin in shallow groove of retainer.
