Row Unit Shutoff
Row unit shutoff is necessary for various routine proce-
dures, including:
• point-row planting
• meter cleanout
• twin-row lockup (25 Series only)
• calibration (shutting off unmeasured rows)
Seed Flow Shutoff
Seed flow to one or more meters may be shut off at the
base of the sliding seed tube.Figure 31 depicts a meter
in the normal open configuration.

To shut off seed flow to a meter, the meter cap must be
unpinned, slid forward, and re-pinned.
1.
Remove the retaining clip and washer.
Note: Do not remove the cotter pin. The pin it retains
does not need to be removed.
2.
Pull the pin out completely. Do not loose the washer
on the other side.
3.
Slide the meter cap forward.

4.
Re-insert the removed pin in the same meter hole
(which is now the rear cap holes).
5.
Place the washer on the free end of the pin and
re-insert the retaining clip. The meter is now closed.

For extended operations with multiple row units shut off,
seed accumulation at unused rows may be prevented
with a baffle kit
.
