Unload seed hoppers before transporting if at all pos-
sible. The planter can be transported with hoppers full
of seed, but the added weight will increase stopping
distance and decrease maneuverability.
3.
Check that tires are properly inflated. Refer to Tire
Inflation Chart, “Appendix,” page 30.
4.
Comply with all federal, state and local laws when
traveling on public roads.
5.
Remember that the planter is wider than the tractor.
Allow safe clearance.

1.
Park planter on a level, solid area.
2.
Lower planter to the ground.
3.
Lower parking stands to the ground as shown in Fig-
ure 2-2. If ground is soft, place a board or plate under
stands to increase contact area. Pin (1) stands in low-
ered position.

4.
Extend or retract tractor top link until top three-point
pin is free. Remove pin.
5.
Remove pins from lower links.
6.
Disconnect any hydraulic hoses and electrical lines
from tractor. Do not let hose ends rest on the ground.
