These instructions explain how to operate and calibrate
the Air-Pro
®
No. 1 84 cell volumetric seed disc
.
Rice Requires a Special Hardened Meter:
Great Plains offers planter models YP3025AR-3610 and
YP4025AR-4810 for planting rice. In these planters, the
Air-Pro
®
meter housing has a special coating that resists wear
from rice. Rice planting can wear out a standard Air-Pro
®
meter housing within one season; an abuse not covered by
warranty. A rice meter, however, may be used with any crop.

Clean-Out Meters
Possible Chemical Hazard:
Avoid contact with seed treatment residues inside meters and
on removed meter discs. Wear gloves unless all recent planting
involved untreated seeds. Consult the MSDS
f
for any treated
seeds recently planted. See planter Operator manual for brush
cleaning instructions.
1.
Perform a meter clean-out per the instructions in
your planter Operator manual.
2.
Remove and store the current seed discs. Perform a
brush inspection and cleaning as necessary.
3.
Continue at “Install Discs / Set Shutters” on
page 37.
