Refer to Figure 5,
which, for clarity, depicts the air cart without the rear hopper
1.
Use a line (not shown), from the cart walkboard, to
tie the cart links
up to the height of the lug holes
.
2.
Remove the pins
near the ball swivel links
the arms, allowing the arms to telescope. Do not
remove the stop bolts
3.
Drive the roll pins
out of the lug pins
remove the lug pins.
4.
Have a tractor slowly guide the cart backwards until
the link arm ball swivels are within two feet of the lug
holes
in the implement. Set tractor brake.
5.
Manually extend each arm’s ball swivel
ment with the implement pivot holes
. Insert and
secure the lug pins
6.
Slowly back the tractor up until the arm pins may
be reinserted. Secure them with clips.
7.
Set tractor parking brake and shut off tractor.
Make Seed Hose Connections
Refer to Figure 6
Connect primary seed hoses (tower feed hoses) from the
implement to their respective outlets on the rear cart
meter box, in left to right order, skipping any capped out-
lets.
Leave enough slack so that implement can be fully
raised, lowered, folded and unfolded.
Secure hoses to meter box using screw clamps provided.
Orient outer clamps so that they do not interfere with the
door latches on the meter.
