It is intended that mono line modules shall be fitted in pairs - in odd/even positions
within the chassis. Between the pair, a small PCB is plugged into the mother board,
inserting matrix amplifiers across the pairs of modules - creating the same facilities as
are available in the stereo line module.
Unlike the microphone/line module, there is no gain in the auxiliary paths of the mono
and stereo line modules - auxiliary level controls are attenuators only.
Monitoring and clean-feed facilities are identical with those of the microphone/line
module.
In order to meet engineers' demands for even-lower system noise, we have included
a switch to remove the equaliser and insert-point circuitry, when not in use, from the
signal path. We have also arranged that this unused circuitry, ie equaliser, may be
incorporated into another module via a short, standard jump lead.
When working in dual-mono it is inevitable that better separation between signals will
be achieved when using a pair of mono modules rather than one stereo module.
All mixer inputs and outputs are electronically and mechanically suppressed against
radio-frequency interference.
