DESCRIPTION
The Trusted
TM Valve Manager package is a
Windows based software application that
configures, initiates, collects, processes, and
stores valve test information from the T8449
Trusted
TM TMR 24Vdc Valve Monitor modules.
The Valve Manager works with one or more
Trusted
TM systems to simplify valve test
configuration, initiate manually valve tests,
collect the results, provide additional post-test
processing, and save the test information to a
database. The Valve Manager communicates
with Trusted
TM systems using the Trusted TM
OPC Server, and can save the data in any
ODBC compliant database.
The Valve Manager uses a function block in
the Trusted
TM system to interface with the
Valve Monitor module. This function block
manages the valve test and returns the results
to the Valve Manager. The test involves a
partial movement of the valve, until the valve
position reaches a preset point.
The valve travel is timed in milliseconds,
and may involve several movement
phases (e.g. Open, Not Open, Partially
Closed).
The Valve Manager collects the timing
data and tests it against preset limits.
The timing data and results are stored in
a database for future analysis of valve
health.
