Module – 40 Channel
Introduction
The Trusted TM TMR 120VAC Digital Input interfaces to 40 field input devices. Fault tolerance is
achieved through a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) architecture within the module for each of the 40
input channels.
Each field input is triplicated and the input voltage is measured using a sigma-delta input circuit. The
field voltage signal is digitally processed to compute the AC amplitude, which is compared to fixed
threshold voltages to determine the reported field input state. The triplicated voltage measurements,
coupled with on-board diagnostic testing, provide comprehensive fault detection and tolerance.
The module provides on-board Sequence of Events (SOE) reporting with a resolution of 1ms. A
change of state triggers an SOE entry. States for each channel are determined by comparing the
input signal amplitude with fixed voltage thresholds on a per channel basis.
