q the water boils
q the OFF button is pressed in order to obtain hot
but not boiling water
q the kettle is switched on but there is no water in
the carafe
q the lid is opened (firmly press Button b).
Any larger pieces of scale or other contamination are
held back by the filter in the spout.
How to clean the kettle
1. Unplug the kettle.
2. Wipe the outside of the carafe and the base with a
damp cloth only.
3. If the carafe has become slightly stained, pour in
some vinegar, leave it to stand for half an hour and
then clean it out with a washingĆup brush. Place
the filter inside the carafe so that it can also be
cleaned at the same time: Open the lid and pull out
the filter. Do not use a sharp object or abrasive
substance to clean the kettle. Rinse the carafe
with clean water after it has been cleaned.
CAUTION
To avoid possible damage to electrical parts and
risk of electric shock, do not immerse the kettle
in water or put it in a dishwasher.
