ILLUMINATED SELECTOR SWITCH
(BULLETIN 800T/H)
ATTENTION: When installing in a metal enclosure, maintain
1/2 in minimum clearance between exposed metal parts of
contact block, transformer or full voltage module and
enclosure.
See Figure 1 for illustrated assembly.
1. Remove mounting rings, knob lever lens if applicable, trim washer or leg-
end plate, and thrust washer from switch and place the correct number of
gaskets on bushing per Table 1. (the standard knob lens does not have to be
removed.)
NOTE: As received, the lens is oriented so that after installation, the contact
blocks will be on the left as viewed from the rear.
2. Insert switch in panel from the rear.
3. Install legend plate or trim washer, and thrust washer.
NOTE: A trim washer must be used if a legend plate is not desired.
4. Thread thin octagonal mounting ring onto bushing and tighten until gas-
kets are compressed and unit is secured in panel. Allen-Bradley mounting
ring wrench, Catalog No. 800T-N245, is available for tightening the octag-
onal mounting ring.
5. Assemble knob lever lens into lens mounting ring if applicable, thread lens
mounting ring onto bushing and tighten until it seat securely against the
bushing.
IMPORTANT: Check to make sure that the lens rotates freely to the various
positions and that the unit is secure in the panel. If not,
check that the proper number of gaskets per Table 1 are be-
ing used and that a thrust washer and legend plate or thrust
washer and trim washer are being used.
6. Ground operator with ground screw provided shown in Figure 1, when
required. (800T devices only)
