SELECTING A LOCATION
Your Security Safe should be installed in an isolated, dry and secure area. For greater security the safe must be fastened to a solid surface.
SECURING THE SAFE
Locate the (2) mounting hole locations on the inside bottom of the safe
under the paper stickers. (figure 5) It will be necessary to make a
clearance hole through the safe insulation using a drill. Drill holes
through the insulation using the same diameter drill as the diameter
of the mounting hardware you are using. IMPORTANT: The
fasteners you use must completely fill the hole you drilled in the
insulation. (figure 6) You must use the fasteners after you drill the
holes. Failure to do so will void the fire rating.
Through the clearance holes, mark the hole locations on the mounting
surface. Drill the appropriate diameter and depth of pilot holes
depending on the type of hardware being used and the type of
mounting surface. Secure the safe with the fasteners. (figure 5)
NOTE: The safe needs to be upright and right side up or the locking
mechanism won't work.

LOW BATTERY
The battery symbol (figure 4) located in the display panel will tell you if the batteries are low and
need to be changed. When you enter your combination the display will also read "LO-BATTE" if
the batteries are low on charge.
If the batteries located inside the safe are depleted you can access the safe using the trouble key
or by using the external battery pack. (See the appropriate sections above)
Replace all (4) batteries with 4-1.5V, AA batteries. NOTE: Every time you change the batteries
you will have to reset the date and time. Your personal combination will remain the same.
Under normal conditions the batteries should last about 1 year.
