and IR “HC” sensors are the only
cases of an IR sensor being assigned to GAS 1 automatically. If the IR HC sensor is
not displayed as “HC” and is instead displayed as “IBU” or a custom name, it will be
assigned to GAS 2.
Multiple IR Sensors
IR CO2 (any range) + IR “HC” (LEL only or autoranging)
IR CO2: GAS 2
IR “HC”: GAS 1
IR CH4 (volume only) + IR “HC” (LEL only or autoranging)
IR CH4: GAS 2
IR “HC”: GAS 1
IR CH4 (volume only) + IR “IBU” (LEL only or autoranging)
IR CH4: GAS 2
IR “IBU”: GAS 2
IR CH4 (volume only) + IR “custom name” (LEL only or
autoranging)*
IR CH4: GAS 2
IR “custom”: GAS 2
IR CH4 (volume only) + IR CH4 (LEL only or autoranging)
IR CH4 vol only: GAS 2
IR CH4 LEL/auto: GAS 2
IR CH4 (volume only) + IR CO2 (any range)
IR CH4: GAS 2
IR CO2: GAS 2
*
Depending on special requirements, your infrared hydrocarbon channel’s gas name may
be something other than “HC” or “IBU”.
