Carefully (a fan and cable are attached to the under side of the cover) lift up
the bay cover.

Carefully disconnect the fan cable
, and remove the cover
.

Gently pull the two release latches on the sides of the memory socket in the
direction indicated by the arrows (

Fan Cable & Cover
Make sure you reconnect
the fan cable
before
screwing down the bay cov-
er. Note the information on
replacing the RAM & CPU
bay cover in
“Cover
Pins” on page 6 - 11

Contact Warning
Be careful not to touch the metal pins on the
RAM module’s connecting edge. Even the
cleanest hands have oils which can attract
particles, and degrade the module’s perfor-
mance.
