Introduction
This guide provides Java programming information about how to use the Google Data API to create,
retrieve, update, and delete information for one or more Google Search Appliance devices.
Use the information in this guide to create or learn about coding Java applications that
programmatically set the administrative functions for the Admin Console of a search appliance.
The audience for this guide is Java programmers who want to programmatically configure a Google
Search Appliance. Before using the Google Search Appliance Administrative API, read “Getting Started”
on page 5 to download and configure required software.
Note: This guide uses data source feed to indicate the search appliance’s Feeds API (described in the
Feeds Protocol Developer’s Guide).
