Step 1: Open and unfold brief and lay on clean surface in direct sunlight for 30 minutes. For best results
the temperature should be over 75 degrees. You can still install brief if without doing so, but
you will need to tighten the top as it stretches out during use.
Step 2: Place the front of the brief over the windshield channel and fold the plastic strip under and insert
the front edge of the brief into the windshield channel. Pull each end of the brief until it is even
with the windshield channel. (Fig A)

Step 3: Pull the snap down on front corner of windshield frame and mark location. Drill a 1/8” hole
and insert included snap with screw. (Fig B) Your vehicle may already have these and this
step can be skipped.
Step 4: Lay the back of the brief over the main bar of the roll bar. Pull the rear corner straps down
towards the back of the vehicle and slide through the footman loops and back up to the buckle
and pull tight. (Fig C) (footman loops are standard parts on Jeeps that were originally soft top
models) If your Jeep does not have footman loops proceed to the next step. Otherwise
installation is now complete.
Step 5: Determine the best location for the footman loops. This may be on top of the rear corner of the
body tub, or on the inside lip of the body tub, ect. Once you have determined the best location,
mark and drill the holes using a 1/8” drill bit. Fasten the footman loops using the supplied screws.
(Fig D) You may now fasten the straps through the footman loops as explained in Step 4.
NOTE: Carefully read entire instructions thoroughly before
attempting to install this part. Some drilling may be required for installation.
