INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for YJST
Please read and understand all instructions before beginning the installation of the Hide-A-
Step. Please read the terms and policies on the back of these instructions.
This step mechanism uses a very strong spring. Extra care should be
used during installation and use to prevent injury to fingers and hands!
The YJST is designed to fit the following Jeep® vehicles: 1987-1995 YJ Wranglers. The step
may interfere with factory installed or aftermarket steps or rocker guards. The step is de-
signed to be quick detachable by removing two pins.
STEP 1: Locate the step in the desired position.
STEP 2: Remove the two quick disconnect pins.
STEP 3: Drill four 5/16” holes up through the floor using mounting plate as a pattern.
STEP 4: Install the bolts with nuts and washers through the backing plates and mounting
plate.
STEW 5: Reinstall the two removable pins
The step has raised dimples to provide traction but care should be taken during use to prevent
slipping. Mud, ice, and snow will make the step more slick. You are now done so GO
JEEPIN!
