Memory Manager Messages
Consult this section for a detailed explanation of the
messages that you may see in Memory Manager. Items in
triangular brackets
Note:
The wording of the messages you see on your
Newton device may differ slightly.
There is a backup soup called
which an original soup cannot be found. If you
removed the original soup, you may not need the
backup soup. It takes up at least
storage. Do you want to delete it?
A soup is a collection of information that belongs to a
particular Newton application.
You can back up the information in your Newton device’s
internal memory onto a storage card. If you later delete an
application and its information from internal memory, the
backup copy is not deleted.
If you remove an application and its soups from your
Newton device and don’t plan to use them again, you may
no longer need the backup copy. You can choose to delete
the backup soup to save space on your storage card.
