WARNING
Under no circumstances should you try to repair the unit yourself as this
will invalidate the guarantee. Do not open the unit as there is a risk of
electric shock.
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed before taking the unit for
repair. If you are unable to solve a problem by following these hints,
consult your dealer or service center.
Laser safety
This unit employs a laser. Only a qualified service person should remove
the cover or attempt to service this device, due to possible eye injury.
Problem

No power, no sound
– Adjust the volume.
– Disconnect headphones.
– Make sure speakers are connected properly.
– Connect power cable properly.
No reaction to controls
– Disconnect the unit from power supply, reconnect after a few seconds.
Automatic start of permanent feature
– Keep Ç on the unit pressed for at least 5 seconds to cancel the
display (demonstration mode)

Poor radio reception
– Direct the antenna for optimum reception.
– Do not position the antenna near a radiation source such as a TV,VCR,
computer, etc. Change the position of the interfering unit or try to switch it off.
Poor bass sound
– Connect the colored (or marked) wires to the colored terminals and the
black (or unmarked) wires to the black terminals.
Remote control does not function
– Insert new batteries and/or insert batteries correctly.

– Make sure the disc is not scratched or dirty. Replace or clean the disc.

recording again with a new disc.

– Make sure the CDR(W) is finalized.
