Using the 5450 answering
machine via the handset
Note
If the answering machine is being
operated from the base or it is recording
a message, it cannot be operated from
the handset at the same time.
IMPORTANT
While operating the answering machine
from the handset, you may hear one of
the answering machine prompts on the
handset loudspeaker. Press
GREEN
PHONE to switch off the loudspeaker.
When switched ON, the
is displayed and the ON light
on the base comes on.
Press SAVE to confirm.
Press and hold the RED
PHONE to return to the idle
screen.
Available recording time:
After you switch your
BT Diverse 5450 answering
machine on, you will hear the
remaining memory time
announced.
Memory full:
If the memory becomes full,
and an Answer Only message
has been recorded, your
BT Diverse 5450 answering
machine will automatically
switch to Answer Only mode.
Free up the memory by
deleting old messages (see
page 67)
. The answering
machine will then
automatically return to Answer
and Record mode.
If no Answer Only message
has been recorded, the
answering machine switches
To switch the answering
machine on/off
Press the RIGHT button.
Press DOWN to scroll to
Voice Mail .
Press OK.
Press DOWN to scroll to
Answering Machine .
Press OK.
Press LEFT/RIGHT to switch
the answering machine ON
or OFF.
