Child lock

You can secure your washing machine to prevent

selected functions from being inadvertently

changed.
If the child lock has been selected:
- No changes can be made while the program is

running,

- Should the appliance be switched off and on

while a program is running the program will

continue at the point at which it was

interrupted,

- The door remains locked at the end of the

program,

- Directly after the appliance is switched on -

provided no program was active the last time

the appliance was switched off - all control

elements are disabled and the door is locked.

If the child lock is active and the program

selector is rotated while a program is running,

the indicator light of the program selector is

turned off. The indicator light illuminates again

when the program selector is returned to its

original position.

When a program has started, you can activate

the child lock in Pause" mode only.

Activating the child lock
q Turn the program selector to the desired

program.

q Load the laundry and close the loading door.

The Start/Pause indicator light flashes (red).

Example:

q Press the Menu button until Child lock: OFF"

is displayed.

The

" symbol flashes.

The menu is being left if a button is not pressed

within 10 seconds.

q Press the Select button until Child lock: ON" is

displayed.

When the menu is left, the 

$

" symbol is

permanently displayed.

i

The child lock is not activated until the

Start/Pause button is pressed.

The Start/Pause indicator light is permanently

illuminated (yellow).
