Connecting your component with no HDMI terminal
This diagram shows connections of a TV and DVD player (or other playback component) with no
HDMI terminal to the receiver.
Important
1 If you use component video cables for
connecting to the DVD player, the same cables
should be used for connecting to the TV
2 If necessary, assign the component video
inputs to the input source you’ve connected.
This only needs to be done if you didn’t connect
according to the following defaults:
• COMPONENT VIDEO IN 1 – BD/TV
• COMPONENT VIDEO IN 2 – DVD/SAT
See The Input Assign menu on page 35.
3 If the connection was made using a coaxial
cable, press SIGNAL SEL repeatedly to select
C1 (see page 26).
4 If you connected the TV (as shown above)
and there is still no sound, press BD then press
SIGNAL SEL repeatedly to select O1 or A (see
page 26).
