AEL/AFL
You can use the
AEL/AFL button to perform AF or metering operations instead of using the
shutter button.
Select the function of the button to match the operation when the shutter button is pressed.
Select [mode1] to [mode4] in each focus mode. (You can only select [mode4] in C-AF
mode.)
Basic operations
[mode1]
For determining the metered exposure while focusing. AE lock is activated while
pressing the
AEL/AFL button, allowing you to adjust the focus and determine
the exposure separately.
[mode2]
For determining the exposure when you press the shutter button fully. This is
useful for shooting scenes with significant changes in lighting, such as on a
stage.
[mode3]
For focusing with the
AEL/AFL button instead of the shutter button.
[mode4]
Press the
AEL/AFL button to focus, and press the shutter button fully to
determine the exposure.
AEL/AFL MEMO
You can lock and maintain the exposure by pressing the
AEL/AFL button.
[ON]
Press the
AEL/AFL button to lock and maintain the exposure. Press again to
cancel the maintaining of the exposure.
[OFF]
The exposure will be locked only while the
AEL/AFL button is pressed.
; FUNCTION
You can assign a function to the
< button.
[PREVIEW]/[LIVE PREVIEW] (electronic)
While holding down the
< button, you can use the preview function.
