– The management data encryption key must contain 20 characters.
– Do not specify a management data encryption key that is 20 times
the same character.
– Be sure to keep the specified management data encryption key in
a safe place so that it will not be lost.

Retype the management data encryption key specified step 5, and
then touch [OK].
The message “Turn the main switch OFF and ON.” appears.
– When turning the main power switch off, then on again, wait at least
10 seconds before turning it on, otherwise the copier may not func-
tion normally.

Follow the instructions in the screen and use the main power switch to
turn off the machine.

Use the main power switch to turn on the machine.
The management data is encrypted.
