To encrypt management data
Encrypt management data such as the settings on the Utility mode and user/
account registration data.
This can be specified even if the hard disk drive and security kit are not in-
stalled.
The setting for “Management Data Encryption Key” must be specified by the
machine’s administrator.

In the Administrator Setting screen, touch [Security Setting].

In the Security Setting screen, touch [6 HDD Setting].

In the HDD Setting screen, touch [6 HDD Encryption Setting].

In the HDD Encryption Setting screen, touch [2 Management Data En-
cryption Key].
The Register Management Data Encryption Key screen appears.
– If a management data encryption key has already been registered,
the Set Management Data Encryption Key screen appears so that
the encryption key can be changed or canceled.

Type in the management data encryption key (20 characters long), and
then touch [OK].
