A password problem
I forgot my password.
If you forgot your user password, you may clear it by removing the
supervisor password. See “Changing or removing the supervisor
password” on page 27.
If you forget your HDD password, Lenovo authorized servicer cannot
reset your password or recover data from the hard disk. You must take
your computer to a Lenovo authorized servicer or a marketing
representative to have the hard disk drive replaced. Proof of purchase
is required, and a fee will be charged for parts and service.
If you forget your supervisor password, Lenovo authorized servicer
cannot reset your password. You must take your computer to a Lenovo
authorized servicer or a marketing representative to have the system
board replaced. Proof of purchase is required, and a fee will be charged
for parts and service.
Keyboard problems
A number appears when you enter a letter.
The numeric lock function is on. To disable it, press Fn+NmLk.
All or some of the keys on the external numeric keypad do not work.
Make sure that the external numeric keypad is correctly connected to the
computer.
