You can operate your VP-8x4 via:
The front panel buttons
RS-232/RS-485 serial commands transmitted by a touch screen system,
PC, or other serial controller
The Kramer RC-IR Infrared Remote Control Transmitter
The Ethernet
7.1 Displaying Unit Characteristics
The STATUS 7-segment display shows several sets of information in sequence,
as defined in Table 7:
